Based on the classic Ruger Mark II, the William B. Ruger Endowment Pistol has many custom features. It is marked with a serial number following the pattern “NRA-XXXXX.” Additional markings include William B. Ruger, Sr.’s signature rollmarked on the top of the receiver above the ejection port and an impressive Ruger crest—that incorporates the NRA logo—on the forward top section of the receiver. The rear face of the blued-steel bolt is adorned with the Ruger logo, and a red Ruger medallion is inlaid into each of the checkered, ivory-colored grip panels and the base of the two magazines. The pistol comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from William B. Ruger, Jr., and Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association. The pistol is shipped in a red Ruger commemorative case with a special Ruger/NRA crest logo.
